Ekaterina Bersenyova is a 2004 cum laude graduate of the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Music (now the Tchaikovsky South Ural State Institute of Arts, Chelyabinsk). She made debuts at the Glinka International Vocal Contest and the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Vocalists. In 2005, she received the Best Female Voice award at the international competition “Siberian Romansiada”.

Ekaterina has been a principal artist at the Chelyabinsk Philharmonia since 2005. She has been praised for her velvety voice, a lively presence on stage, and a versatile concert repertoire that includes operatic arias, Russian romances and, since 2008, internationally known popular songs and jazz pieces. Her musical intelligence, natural charm and artistic ability have quickly earned Ekaterina a reputation of the singer who gives familiar songs a personal touch. Ekaterina has vividly demonstrated this in How Beautiful This World Is, Film Music, In memory of Bulat Okudzhava, Life as Dominoe, and other concerts.

Ekaterina is constantly cultivating her performing skills and repertoire. She prepared concert programs The Heat of Love, The Magic of Romance, How Beautiful This World Is in collaboration with prize-winning pianist Natalia Guschina. In the 2009-2011 seasons, Ekaterina had leading roles in such at Chelyabinsk Philharmonia productions as The Mystery of the Violin Clef by Vladimir Osherov and Igor Minogin, Kirovka by Vladimir Osherov and lyrics Konstantin Rubinsky, and Thumbelina by Tatiana Shkerbina and Konstantin Rubinsky). In the 2011-2012 season, she appeared in concerts with instrumental ensemble Maestro-Accordion and the Chelyabinsk Philharmonia Wind Orchestra. In the 2012-2013 season, she took part in New Year project Father Frost's Stories that was put on stage in collaboration with the Naum Orlov Academic Drama Theatre, Chelyabinsk.

In 2010, Ekaterina was awarded the Golden Violin Clef prize in nomination “Musical Art”.

In the 2013-2014 season, Ekaterina sang the role of Advocate in the season premiere of concert-like theatre piece Lady Operetta, appeared in solo concerts of tenor of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonia Rustam Zaichenko and Meritorious Artist of the Russian Federation Alina Anischenko, the open-air concert dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, concert Spring Rendezvous with the State Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra “Malachite”, and the Art Festival dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Chelyabinsk Region and held under the auspices of the Governor of Chelyabinsk Region.
