Olga Parfentieva is an honored artist of Russia, a soloist of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic, and the artistic director of the Maestro Accordion ensemble. She is a graduate of the Chelyabinsk Music College named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, the performing arts faculty of Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture. and the assistantship program at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. She is a laureate of international and national performance competitions. Olga has successfully toured in Italy, France, Australia, and New Zealand. She is the ideas generator and the creator of original programs for the ensemble, being the only female accordionist in South Ural. Under her guidance, the Maestro Accordion ensemble has developed a recognizable performing style characterized by virtuosity, expressive intonation, a sense of harmonic colour, rhythmic freedom, and elegance.
The ensemble has been existing for more than 30 years. It has taken part and won awards at various prestigious music competitions in Italy, Poland, France, and Russia. In 2007 the group participated in the music and cultural performances at SCO 2007 within the framework of the Shangai Cooperaion Organization, and in 2008 it joined the concert for the State Council of the Russian Federation in the Andreevsky Reception Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The Maestro Accordion took part in the cultural olympiad called ‘Marafon regionov Rossii‘ (‘Marathon of Russian Regions’) (Sochi, 2012), the 11th International Festival ‘Garmonika – dusha Rossii’ (‘Harmonica is the Soul of Russia’) (Moscow, 2013).It also participated in the Cultural Program of the 2014 Paralympic Games (Sochi).
The Blooming May concert program includes retro dance and song melodies and adapted songs by Soviet and Russian composers.
The Tangomania concert program will expose the audiences to the famous melodies from the "Golden Age of Tango." The concert features soloists from the philharmonic.
The French Visit program includes musette accordion music, melodies by Russian composers and golden hits of world accordionists.
Between June and September 2014 and in 2015, the group gave brilliant solo performances in Chelyabinsk region at the 1st and 2nd Summer International Arts Festivals.
2016 was a busy year for the group: Maestro Accordion gave many concerts within arts festivals in the region, presented two new concert programs: Moscow-Paris and Music from the Russian Films; the band’s member Konstantin Korchagin took part in the 1st International Festival of Music Humour, directed by Igor Butman, People's Artist of Russia, and in the 2nd Gitarniye forumy’ International Festival (‘Guitar Forums’) in Chelyabinsk, Satka, and the Crimea.
In 2018 the ensemble became the laureate of the two annual international accordion festivals in Sydney (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand).
In 2021, the musicians received a warm and wonderful reception from the residents of the Crimean Peninsula during concerts in Simferopol and Yevpatoria. In 2022-23, the ensemble embarked on concert tours in Dagestan and participated in the International Festival "Petrovskie Assemblies." A highlight of their activities was their involvement in the Festival-Forum "Russia," with concerts held in Moscow at VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy).
The 2024-25 concert season for the Maestro Accordion instrumental ensemble began with a major concert tour across the Chelyabinsk region as a part of the Chelyabinsk Region – A Big Family festival.
The ensemble consists of highly skilled musicians, and its extensive repertoire allows the group to perform in various concert venues and formats. The instrumental ensemble is consistently engaged in three concert programs, which feature lively pop-jazz melodies and contemporary compositions written specifically for the accordion. Annual premieres of new concert programs provide the ensemble with opportunities for creative growth and expand the performance capabilities of its musicians.
Regardless of the program or music piece, the group’s performance is virtuosic, vivid in emotions, unique and peculiar, and is always so much favored by the audience.
